Inter-House Music and Dance Competition – 2025

There are some days in a school’s life that are not written in the calendar, they are written in the hearts of everyone who was present.

The Inter-house Music and Dance Competition, 2025 was one such day at Seven Oaks School , a day when every beat, every step and every voice came together to create something unforgettable.

As the lamp was lit to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the entire venue fell into a beautiful silence, a silence filled with expectation, hope and pride. From that moment onward, the stage did not remain just a platform, it became a place where stories, emotions and cultures came alive.
Four houses — Chestnut, Maple, Olive and Willow took part in three powerful categories: Indian Classical Music, Classical Dance and Folk Dance. What followed was not just a competition, but a journey through India’s soul.
The Indian Classical Music segment touched every heart. The melodious ragas of Bhairavi, Malkauns, Bageshri and Desh flowed through the air, creating an atmosphere of peace, devotion and beauty. Each house poured its emotions into every note, and the audience listened with complete stillness and admiration.
The Classical Dance performances turned the stage into a world of stories and devotion. From the powerful scenes of the Mahabharata to the divine Shiv Stuti, from the purity of Ram–Sita to the electrifying grace of Kathak, every performance spoke through expressions, rhythm and grace. It was impossible not to feel moved.
The Folk Dance segment brought colour, energy and joy to Seven Oaks School. Punjab danced with pride, Rajasthan swirled with royal grace, Himachal shared its gentle warmth and Uttarakhand filled the stage with devotion and mountain spirit. In those moments, the audience was not just watching, they were travelling across India through these dances.
Before the results were announced, the two respected judges — Dr. Srishti Rawat and Mrs. Bharti Chatterjee — shared deeply inspiring words with the students. They appreciated the effort, courage and passion of every participant and encouraged the students to continue following their love for music and dance with dedication and confidence. Their motivating words touched many hearts and made the young performers feel proud of their hard work.
When the results were finally announced, the excitement was overwhelming.
Willow House proudly secured First Position in Indian Classical Music as well as First Position in Classical Dance, showing extraordinary talent and discipline.
In the Folk Dance Category, Olive House won First Position, winning hearts with their beautiful and heartfelt performance.
Adding to their grand success. Willow House also won the prestigious Overall Best House of the Year Trophy, making their victory even more memorable.”
Every house was applauded for their dedication, unity and passion.
The programme concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by the respected Director Ma’am, after which the National Anthem filled the air with pride and unity. As everyone stood together, it was clear that this was not just the end of a programme, it was the end of a truly magical day.
The Inter-House Music and Dance Competition 2025 will always be remembered as a day when Seven Oaks School did not just host an event, it created a memory that will live in every heart for a long time.
