Investiture Ceremony

Investiture Ceremony -2025-26

Today I am going to narrate an incident when I felt that I was at the top of the world. It was the day of my Investiture Ceremony. It was a sunny morning. From the moment I woke up, I was filled with joy, pride and a sense of responsibility. I was chosen as the School Captain of my school. This was not only an honour, it was a duty that demanded commitment. The ceremony was scheduled for the second half of the school timetable.
As the ceremony began, the anchor addressed the audience and then called out the names of the council members. One by one the names were called. First the House Captains of each House were called. Then the name of the Sports Captain was announced. As I watched, my nervousness grew stronger because my turn was coming soon.

At last, the anchor announced the name of the School Captain. With the school flag in my hand, I began the march past along with Vaishnavi Belwal, the Girl School Captain. My heart was beating heavily with emotions of pride and nervousness. As I reached the stage, the applause grew louder. I looked around, my teachers smiled with pride, juniors clapped enthusiastically and my friends cheered with all their energy.

After this, the best moment arrived as Mrs. Shreya Mukherjee, the Director of Seven Oaks School presented us with Prefect blazers specially designed by her for the council. As I wore mine, I felt that it was much more than fabric. It symbolized trust and leadership. The sound of clapping filled the area. Then the national anthem was sung with great fervor. At that moment, I got goose bumps.
All the teachers and the junior students congratulated and came with good wishes.
The following students were appointed as House Captains and Sports Captains.
