We believe in work-play balance for our students and henceforth the events are always designed around the same method. We keep a balance between academic and extra co curricular activities for out students.
“Book-Worm” – Lit fest this year was a two day workshop where all students were taken around the success and life stories of business stalwarts like Steve Jobs, Warren Buffet, Ratan Tata and Dhirubai Ambani.
“Words-Worth” – An Inter-School elocution where students from schools across Dehradun participated. This was a platform where we gave an open stage to all students. There was no eligibility criteria or auditions, neither a registration fees nor any prerequisites for participation. “Words-Worth” is an opportunity for students to come on stage, face an auditorium filled with a cheering audience and experience an open mic. “Spell-Bee” – an Inter house spelling competition in both Hindi and English intends on enhancing the vocabulary and spellings of the students in a fun and healthy competitive way.
All major festivals are celebrated in the Junior School with full fun and frolic. Apart from celebrations there are classroom activities conducted for the students to understand the deep meaning and essence behind the richness of each festival. It is our responsibility to imbibe the values and emotions of our rich Indian culture into these young minds that will eventually be the future of the nation.
Various talent hunt competitions are organized on a regular basis where we keep 100% participation. The purpose behind this is to give each child an opportunity to be on stage and gradually overcome stage fright.
Grandparent’s Day is one of our favourite and the most grand event as the name suggests itself. This is an annual occasion where all Parents and Grandparents are invited. This year the students put up a dance-drama “Cinderella” where again more than 150 students had participated and made their Grandparents and teachers proud.
Sports Day is a day in the spring packed with fun races, gymnastic drills, yoga display, aerobics, march-past and lots and lots of excitement and fun. There is again 100% participation not only of students but from our Parents as well. As teachers we must and regularly do make our little ones understand the importance of physical wellness. We ensure to make them feel responsible for the betterment of their health and understand the importance of Sports and Games.
Christmas Carnival marks the end of the year where students from all classes participate and perform and fill the Seven Oaks campus with festive cheer. When Santa comes dancing to the Jingle Bells tunes it gives us the assurance that our children and our campus will always be filled with love and affection and protected by the Almighty.
